Recruit offer (from floor 5)
Twelve characters the generator never produces. Each has a name, a history and art of their own.
Unlike the generated mercenaries, these twelve are hand-made. Each carries a name and an age, an origin and a history, art and motion of their own. Eight arrive as recruit offers. Four you meet through bond quests in the dungeon.
Four of them never appear in recruit offers. You meet them in the dungeon across two chapters. The first chapter is a fight against the person while something holds them. The second cuts the thing away. Before the fight and after you win it, they speak.
